The Institute does this by providing information in its own publications and through media contributions; by conducting various community 'outreach' programmes and events; and by providing educational courses currently ranging from the Home Study course to the Diploma and Foundation Science Degree in Nutritional Therapy. The latter may be upgraded to a full Nutritional Science BSc (Hons) via one year's extra study. The facilities at ION include a comprehensive library, the ION clinics - Optimum Nutrition Clinic and ION Training Clinic as well as the education, marketing and administrative teams that run ION. These resources, together with an excellent reputation, makes ION one of the most respected training bodies and health information resources of its kind in the UK.
