Training: |
Heather trained at the Bodyharmonics Centre, UK, by teachers who have trained extensively in both North and South Thailand. Heather has a Master Practitioner Diploma, in Thai Traditional Massage and Manipulation; diplomas in Thai Sports Injury Massage Maintenance and Rehabilitation, Thai Traditional Massage and Anatomy and Physiology.
Heather has also trained in Muscle Energy Techniques used by osteopaths, remedial sports therapists and other practitioners. |

Traditional Thai Massage combines deep effective presses with yoga-like stretches and joint manipulation.
It feels wonderful, it is relaxing yet energising, and enhances
circulation. It stretches muscles effectively, hence treats muscle tightness, reduces stiffness and enhances flexibility.
A full-body Thai Massage takes around 2 hours. The traditional sequence involves lying comfortably on your back, then each side, front, then sitting.
Shorter (& longer) treatments for specific problems are also available. Whatever the duration, Heather will tailor the sequence to suit your individual requirements and to prioritise problem areas.
You are fully dressed, on a futon mat, as with shiatsu. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing - long sleeves & trousers. |

Thai Massage can treat: RSI, sports injuries, back pain, neck & shoulder pain, headaches, sciatica, etc. Heather will weave Muscle Energy Techniques into the massage sequence where appropriate, giving a truly phenomenal treatment for muscular problems. |

Therapeutic massage, sports/remedial massage using a hypo-allergenic lotion. Sessions normally take approximately 1 hour.
Chair massage as a home visit takes approximately 25 minutes. A clothes on, no oil treatment using an ergonomically designed chair. Can be modified to suit people with restricted mobility.
Bowen Technique, a very gentle remedial treatment. Can be performed through light clothing or directly on the skin. Treatment up to 1 hour. |
